SmartFlix‘s sister company, an online comic book subscription service, needed a brand identity and website design for its launch.
My initial involvement included providing design comps and pixel-perfect website mockups based on wireframes provided by a UI specialist. Later I was brought in house to work directly with their Rails developers and to manage marketing design and production.
A few years later, after change of ownership and an incomplete migration to bootstrap, I was asked to come back and help with a design cleanup/redesign. Working whenever their budget allowed, I was able to significantly improve usability while gradually cleaning up large portions of the site. Customer response was positive, and sales improved.
